Surfing

Salcombe has some outstanding surfing spots for the beginner and the more experienced. Mill Bay at high tide is a good place to learn. The ‘hippo’ (which is a sandy spit at the mouth of the estuary) is one for the more experienced.

Sailing

Salcombe has a rich sailing history. From the large Yacht which visit its harbour to the weekly sailing event it conducts in its estuary. There is a Yacht Club in Salcombe for the more experienced sailors and the Island of cruising club offers courses for those willing to learn

Paddle Boarding

A local Paddle boarding company runs lessons on the beach right next to the property. You can also hire paddle boards to go out and explore the estuary.
